Temperature control of HPLC columns is important to achieve better reproducibility of measurements when ambient temperature varies, or when you operate at increased temperature, because better separation performance mostly occurs and analysis time is reduced at increased temperature.LCO 101 column oven is designed for applications requiring increased temperature. The oven is heated inside by an electrical heating element and a platinum temperature sensor secures high precision of temperature control. Actual block temperature is displayed on a 3.5 digit display. A reversible thermal cut-out is built in the instrument, which switches the heater off and transmits an acoustic signal, when set temperature is exceeded by 10°C.The oven can easily accommodate a 250 mm column with a guard column. Various clamps for an injector may be installed on request to a side of the oven box and thus reduce the distance between the column and the injector to a minimum. The clamps are designed so that an ECOM injection valve or a RHEODYNE type 7125 injector may be installed, either in horizontal or vertical position on either right hand side or left hand side of the oven box. On a special request various inserts according to a type of a column or guard column may be installed to improve heat transfer from the thermal block to column.
