Variable Path length TriClamp Cells are used for analyzing and monitoring the absorbance of liquids passing through the cell, where UV light is led from the detector and back using SMA 905 connector and optical–fiber cables.

Optical path length: This flow cell has the optical path length within the range of 0.5 mm to 2.5 mm, adjustable by the customer, in steps of 0.25 mm.

Adjustment process: The adjustment of the optical path is carried out mechanically using a special adjustment wrench which, thanks to the measuring grooves, guarantees the exact adjustment of the desired optical path and for the control of the optical path, a verification on chemical solutions is used, where the cell must achieve predetermined values of absorbance on a given solution and at a given concentration.

Pressure and temperature resistance: The cell is designed to withstand a maximum operating pressure of 2 MPa (290 PSI) according cell size. Also, it can withstand high operating temperatures of up to +160 °C (320 °F).

Quality of the surface: The internal flow-through hole of the cell is characterized by its high-quality processed surface. Its internal surface quality value is less than Ra 0.4 µm. On request can be the cell electro polished and passivated.

Wetted Materials: are a 316L stainless steel body a sapphire window and an inner insert made of PEEK MT or Quartz window with FFKM and FEP sealing. On request can be cell body made from Hastelloy.
